enough reason for me to smile

Some say that love is a tragedy. But I say it shouldn't be seen that way. Though love may have brought us down to our knees, made our eyes drown until there were no tears left to cry, caused us to fall face first on the ground or rip open our entirety, it doesn't mean we were meant for that forever. There's still reason to believe that He will bring each one of us the person we deserve to love at His own time, at His own place, with His own plan.

And right now, I know He's preparing me for the one I'll sing this song to... just as I'd like to sing this to Him... =)

Every time I look at you
The world just melts away
All my troubles, all my fears
Dissolve in your affections
You've seen me at my weakest
But you take me as I am
When I fall you offer me a softer place to land

You stay the course, you hold the line, you keep it all together
You're the one true thing I know I can believe in
You're all the things that I desire
You save me, you complete me
You're the one true thing I know I can believe

I get mad so easy but you give me room to breathe
No matter what I say or do
'Cause you're too good to fight about it
Even when I have to push
Just to see how far you'll go
You won't stoop down to battle
But you never turn to go

Love is just the antidote
When nothing else can cure me
There are times I can't decide
When I can't tell up from down
You make me feel less crazy
Otherwise I'd drown
But you pick me up and brush me off
And tell me I'm okay
Sometimes that's just what we need to get us through the day

Fete de la Musique 2005
June 18, 2005 Saturday 4pm Onwards
El Pueblo, Ortigas Center
Sponsored by: Alliance Francaise de Manille

Fete de la Musique is now a much-awaited annual international music festival. It started in France in 1982 - an idea of former French Minister of Culture Jack Lang. The objective was pretty simple - to celebrate the upcoming of Summer by inviting musicians, amateurs and professionals, to perform for free in public places like parks, streets, railway stations, museums, and so on. This idea soon became very popular, and thanks to our cultural network of French Embassies, French Cultural Centers and Alliance Franaises, Fte de la Musique is now celebrated in more than 120 different countries. All these musicians playing simultaneously on the same day, in so many different places, certainly makes it the biggest multi-cultural festival in the world.

thoughts on a cold evening

What if you could erase some memories in your life, would you do it?

I just saw this movie on HBO. It stars Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was nice. It was crazy. It moved me. How can some moments just happen that after some time, you'd want to forget it ever did? What if you can just view all the records in your brain, like in a computer, and delete unwanted files from Windows Explorer? Pretty easy. Would it have been nice? Maybe you'd want to erase the memory of an enemy. Of your most embarrassing moment. Of your wrecked presentation. Or of relationships gone bad. At some point, I can say it would have been easier. Life would have been more peaceful.

What if I could erase some memories in my life, would I do it?

Maybe I would. But then it wouldn't make me who I am. *Singing: If I had to do it all again, I wouldn't take away the rain coz I know it made me who I am. -- Faith Evans

boring

Being sick is such a bummer. I've had this clogged nose for almost two weeks now and it's worse! Caught fever Sunday night til Tuesday, highest at 38.7ºC, and then dry cough. Never been in this condition for such a long time... years, I think. I couldn't do anything but just lie around, drink Gatorade and fruit juices and lotsa water, read a book if I can, and sleep all day long. What a loser, eh?

Well, if there's something good about this, I get to be a señorita here at home -- ordering my brothers, being pampered by my mom and dad, asking for whatever I like! Hehe. :D Good thing I can get up now, finish The Godfather Part III on DVD and access the web, finally!

Ma tells me I've had too many gimmicks and I just needed to rest. Rest for how many days??? A week? My friend Walter was asking if we could go out with some other friends... That was supposed to be today and I had to stay home! Poor me. Glad I saw Madagascar and Star Wars when I still had the chance.

Now it's time for me to rest, rest, rest. Have to get ready for enrollment tomorrow.
